| Restaurant Background and Awards
Since 1976, Tio Pepe Restaurant's setting has been a landmark Spanish-Style house with rare antiques and unusual mementoes. We offer "Authentic Spanish Mediterranean, Continental and Latin American Cuisine" with banquet facilities and a wine cellar. Our in-house butcher trims and cuts only U.S.D.A.Prime Iowa and Nebraska corn-fed beef (aged 5-6 weeks) and our fresh seafood is direct from the local waters of the Gulf of Mexico, in addition to cold-water Fish being flown in daily. Desserts and bread are made daily in our in-house bakery. Tio Pepe's seating capacity is 284. The Restaurant has available a banquet room with a capacity of 40-50 guests suitable for Wine Seminars and banquets. We can also accommodate larger groups in other sections of our restaurant. Our wine cellar will serve up to 22 guests for wine seminars/dinners for special occasions. A Cigar Humidor complete with humidity and temperature control, offers as many as 70 different labels at one time and has promoted our sales for desserts, wines, ports, cognacs, etc. Our wine selections have been created with emphasis on wines from different countries to compliment and marry our lunch and dinner menu. The countries and regions with strong representation are Spain, France and California (red and whites with ample selections from different regions, denominations and vintage), as well as Italy, Germany and Chile.
